Resolution Criteria

This market resolves to YES if the S&P 500 index closes above 5500 points on the last trading day of April 2025. It resolves to NO if the S&P 500 closes at or below 5500 points on that day.

Background

The S&P 500 is a stock market index tracking the performance of 500 large companies listed on U.S. stock exchanges. It is one of the most commonly followed equity indices and is considered a benchmark indicator of U.S. large-cap stocks and the broader U.S. equity market. Recently, it has tumbled due to tariffs.
