Seeing how fast the PGA folded would have been encouraging. Buying soccer stars is useful. But nothing would be the image booster of dominating professional American football.

Now that the USFL and XFL have merged, there's an emerging rival that would be inexpensive to own and provide a way in since the NFL is unlikely to invite them to own a team.

Will resolve as "YES" if an announcement has been made that the Saudis have acquired the USFL/XFL or have started their own, competing American football league.

Will resolve as "NO" otherwise.
