Resolution Criteria

This market resolves to the candidate who wins the 2026 Los Angeles City Council election for District 5. If the election is not held, the market resolves N/A. In the unlikely event of redistricting between now and the election, this market will follow District 5 even if the number of seats changes.

Background

Katy Young Yaroslavsky is the current incumbent for Los Angeles City Council District 5, having been elected in 2022. District 5 includes neighborhoods in the central and western parts of Los Angeles, such as Bel Air, Century City, Westwood, and parts of the Mid-City area.

Los Angeles City Council members serve four-year terms. The 2026 election will determine who represents District 5 for the following term.
