I think this pledge is such a cool idea, it’s really motivating to see people commit to doing something meaningful with their careers. As a student trying to figure out what path to take, it honestly makes me think more about how I want my work to make a difference too. It’s easy to get caught up in just chasing grades or a paycheck, but this reminded me there’s more to it. I’ve been working on my dissertation lately, and I found this helpful guide on 

 writing that made things way easier to understand. Stuff like that really helps when you’re overwhelmed. Seeing others take intentional steps in their career gives me hope that I can do the same. I’m definitely going to keep this in mind as I plan what’s next.
