Every May, Nintendo releases its 'Million-Seller' list as part of its Financial Results Explanatory Material. This gives the sales data for Nintendo first-party titles that sold at least one million copies in that fiscal year ending March.

In the fiscal year ending March 2021, Paper Mario: The Origami King was listed as having sold 3.12M copies. If for the fiscal year ending March 2025, Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door is listed as having sold more than that, this market will resolve YES. Otherwise this market will resolve NO.

Sales figures could be important for the direction of the future of the Paper Mario franchise - this rerelease of The Thousand Year Door is the first Paper Mario game since the original release of TTYD in the format that the series began with - later games would feature significant mechanical simplification and mandated curtailment of creativity and variety in character and setting design.

Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door has a release date of 23rd May, 2024.
Paper Mario: The Origami King had a release date of 17th July, 2020.

I have no strong opinion on TTYD But origami king was really good and it'd be a shame for it to lose out to a remake.
