Resolves to closest. Text to video. If maximum length is shorter, I will extrapolate the cost from the cost of the longest possible length.
The video will be 1280 x 720 at 24 frames per second, if possible. Otherwise, as close to that as possible.
Update 2024-10-12 (PST): If Sora is available through a ChatGPT Plus subscription, the market will resolve to $25 based on the cost of a subscription that provides ~10 minutes of video generation. (AI summary of creator comment)

Okay, here's the pricing page. https://help.openai.com/en/articles/10245774-sora-billing-credits-faq
Working this out:
If maximum length is shorter, I will extrapolate the cost from the cost of the longest possible length.
Longest possible length is 20s.
The video will be 1280 x 720 at 24 frames per second, if possible. Otherwise, as close to that as possible.
A 20s video at 720p is priced at 540 credits.
A $20/month Plus subscription will get you 1,000 credits/month (although you're capped at 720p and 5s duration.) A $200/month Pro subscription will get you 10,000 credits. Either way, the exchange rate seems to be $1=50 credits.
Ten minutes of 20-second videos is 30 clips, so that's 30×540=16,200 credits for 10 minutes of 720p video. That will take you 1.62 monthly Pro subscriptions, or $324 dollars.
Resolves to closest.
Since it's the highest available option, resolves to $125.
[Edit: I initially misread the specified resolution. Fixed. It doesn't change the outcome though since the prices are so high.]
Actually, slight complication - users seem to have theoretically unlimited "relaxed" generations once they run out of credits. So one could arguably interpret this as allowing a $20/month user to generate a 10-minute video very slowly in 5-second increments.
Is this actually possible? I'm not sure. (Probably? It would depend on just how slow they are.)
I don't think this should apply in any event; the description specifies that "I will extrapolate the cost from the cost of the longest possible length", and lengths beyond 5s are only available to Pro users, at a minimum cost of $200.
@outsideness how do you plan on handling this given that chatgpt plus users get access to some amount of sora as part of their subscription?
For what it's worth, the new Chinese Sora competitor charges ~$50/month for 80 minutes/month, which works out to ~$6/10 mins. https://www.vidu.io/pricing
What resolution and frame rate will you be checking with (assuming they give the option to chose)?
