The opinion piece below was submitted to the LA times. As more evidence comes out, it looks increasingly suspicious. This includes a section where he accuses Israeli snipers of killing several 5-8 year olds.

It's unlikely a "handful" of children was shot "on one occasion".

I don't take side, I just assume this is a exaggeration on either one or both statements.

Also, how to deduce that it was a sniper wound is can also be tricky. The .338 bullet is massive.

Experience tells that It's a safe bet to have a prior of doubt towards any Palestinian story.

On the other hand, I've had first hand chats with Israeli soldiers and there are situations where snipers are forced to shoot children who are working with Hamas as spotters.

@RanaG i agree with this sentiment, and i could believe it if it did happen. but the article is so suspicious. there is no way there would be a recognizable bullet hole in a kids head if it is hit by a sniper rifle, it would be gone entirely

@strutheo aren't children heads more elastic, therefore allowing for the head to remain intact?

Here is what would happen for an adult: https://youtu.be/NFtQOxjWfaA
